§ 200-242. Minimum floor area of lower income units.

A.The minimum floor area of living space within the lower income units shall be as follows, as established by the Balanced Housing Program of the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs, as the same may be amended from time to time:Type of UnitRequired Floor Area(square feet)Efficiency500One-bedroom600Two-bedroom750Three-bedroom950Four-bedroom1,150B.The Planning Board may reduce the minimum floor area required if the unit is in congregate care housing or housing which otherwise provides communal eating arrangements and other communal space for social services, is designed for and deed restricted to persons over the age of 62 and the Planning Board finds that the design meets or exceeds reasonable habitability and health standards.
